Frequently Asked Questions
What is low-endotoxin albumin and when do I need it?
Low-endotoxin bovine serum albumin (27006) is processed to keep endotoxin (bacterial lipopolysaccharide) to a minimum. Endotoxin activates immune cells and can alter the growth or response of sensitive cultures, so primary and stem cell culture, immune cell assays and in vivo work call for the low-endotoxin grade.
