Become a contract grower
Pel-Freez contracts independent growers for fryer rabbits. Complete the application below. A grower number is assigned before you incur any expense on our behalf. Housing must be an enclosed, insulated barn that holds temperature year-round. Tell us your goal number of does at max capacity; that sizes the conversation.
What we look for
From the current grower information packet. Rates and mill lists go out with your grower number; they are not published here because they change.
- An enclosed, insulated barn that can hold interior temperature in every season.
- A grower number assigned before you spend money on Pel-Freez's behalf.
- A goal number of does at max capacity on the application.
- Feed from a Pel-Freez approved mill (the welcome packet includes the list). Bulk is more economical than bagged feed.
- Pickup on a scheduled route. Rabbits are weighed at pickup; checks go out the Monday after.
