Product Overview

Host Species: Rabbit
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Immunogen: Synthetic phospho-peptide from residues around Ser940 of rat KCC2, conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH).
Immunogen Species: Rat
Species Reactivity: Rat
Gene Name: KCC2
Molecular Weight: 135 kDa
RRID: AB_2492213
Purification: Antigen affinity-purified from pooled serum on sequential phospho- and non-phosphopeptide affinity columns
Physical State: Liquid
Buffer: 10 mM HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 µg per mL BSA, 50% glycerol
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous ~135 kDa KCC2 protein phosphorylated at Ser940. Labeling is abolished by pre-adsorption with the phosphopeptide used as antigen, and not by the matching non-phosphopeptide.
Application Notes: Recommended starting dilutions: WB 1:1000; WB Brain 1:1000; IP 40ul of antibody per 1mg lysate.
Testing: Western blot on every lot.
Storage Conditions: -20°C
Handling: Supplied in 50% glycerol, so aliquots can be drawn at -20°C without thawing the stock.
Shipping Conditions: Dry ice
Expiration: Stable for at least 1 year from receipt when stored at -20°C.
