Rabbit Plasma Sterile with Sodium Citrate Young
Whole blood from young healthy rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) Breeds: New Zealand White and/or California White that are 8–12 weeks of age, either sex and fasted at the time of slaughter, is mixed with 25 mL 3.8% sodium citrate then QS to 250 mL with blood. The plasma is separated from the blood cellular components by centrifugation. The plasma is pooled, passed through a 0.22-micron filter, bottled and stored at or below -10 °C.
