Product Overview

Host Species: Rabbit
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Immunogen: Phospho-NMHC-IIA (Ser-1943) synthetic peptide (conjugated to KLH) matching residues around Ser-1943 in human myosin IIA heavy chain. This peptide sequence is highly conserved in rat and mouse NMHC-IIA, but is not found in NMHC-IIB and is not well conserved in NMHC-IIC.
Immunogen Species: Human
Species Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat
Gene Name: MYH9
Molecular Weight: 200
Purification: Antigen affinity-purified
Physical State: Liquid
Buffer: PBS, 1 mg/mL BSA, 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol
Specificity: The antibody was cross-adsorbed to unphosphorylated NMHC-IIA (Ser-1943) peptide before affinity purification using phospho-NMHC-IIA (Ser-1943) peptide (without carrier). The antibody detects a 200 kDa* protein matching NMHC-IIA on Western blots of human A431, Jurkat, mouse C2C12, and rat PC12 cells. This reactivity is removed after treatment with lambda phosphatase. The antibody also detects NMHC-IIA (Ser-1943) phosphorylation in chick Fibroblasts.
Application Notes: Recommended starting dilutions: WB 1:1000; ICC 1:100.
Testing: Western blot on every lot.
Storage Conditions: -20°C
Handling: Supplied in 50% glycerol, so aliquots can be drawn at -20°C without thawing the stock.
Shipping Conditions: Dry ice
Expiration: Stable for at least 1 year from receipt when stored at -20°C.
