Product Overview

Host Species: Rabbit
Clonality: Polyclonal
Isotype: IgG
Immunogen: Phospho-β-Catenin (Tyr-142) synthetic peptide (conjugated to KLH) matching residues around tyrosine 142 of human β-Catenin. This peptide sequence has one amino acid difference from a sequence around tyrosine 133 of human γ-Catenin. These human sequences are highly conserved in rat and mouse β- and γ-Catenins.
Immunogen Species: Human
Species Reactivity: Human, Mouse, Rat
Gene Name: CTNNB1
Molecular Weight: 92
Purification: Antigen affinity-purified
Physical State: Liquid
Buffer: PBS, 1 mg/mL BSA, 0.05% sodium azide, 50% glycerol
Specificity: The antibody was cross-adsorbed to phospho-tyrosine coupled to agarose before affinity purification using phospho-β-Catenin (Tyr-142) peptide (without carrier). The antibody detects a 92kDa* protein matching the molecular mass of β-Catenin on Western blots of Hct116 src-transformed cells treated with pervanadate, but not in control cells. Similar results were observed in pervanadate-treated A431 and human endothelial cells.
Application Notes: Recommended starting dilutions: WB 1:500; ICC 1:100.
Testing: Western blot on every lot.
Storage Conditions: -20°C
Handling: Supplied in 50% glycerol, so aliquots can be drawn at -20°C without thawing the stock.
Shipping Conditions: Dry ice
Expiration: Stable for at least 1 year from receipt when stored at -20°C.
