Horse Serum Sterile Donor Herd Heat Inactivated
Blood is aseptically collected from the donor herd horses, while maintained and controlled under the observation of qualified professional personnel, using a closed system method in a designated bleeding lab. The blood is refrigerated within 8 hours of collection and processed within 48 hours prior to storage at -20°C. The serum is thawed and passed through a 0.22 micron filter, bottled and stored at -20°C. The sterile serum is later thawed, heat inactivated at 56°C for 30 minutes, and returned to -20°C.
