Rabbit Plasma Non-Sterile with K2 EDTA Lyophilized Young

Whole blood is collected from young healthy rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus) Breeds: New Zealand White and/or California White that are 8–12 weeks of age, either sex, and fasted at the time of slaughter. The blood is mixed by taking 2.5 mL K2EDTA, then QS to 250 mL with blood. The plasma is separated from the blood cellular components by centrifugation and pooled, bottled and frozen at or below -10°C. The plasma is thawed, filtered through cheesecloth, aliquoted into glass vials and lyophilized. The product is then stoppered, sealed, boxed, and stored at or below -10°C prior to shipment.
