Rabbit Serum Sterile Non-Hemolyzed Heat-Inactivated Young

Whole blood is collected from young healthy New Zealand White or Californian rabbits, 8 - 12 weeks of age, either sex and fasted at the time of slaughter. The blood is processed within 6 hours, and frozen at -20°C. The serum is then thawed in a cool water bath, pooled, heat-inactivated at 56°C for 30 minutes, sterile filtered through a 0.22 micron filter, bottled and returned to -20°C.
